We offer wholesale fish taxidermy to taxidermist.

Terms and Policies

50% down to begin working on your trophy. The down payment pays for supplies to start the taxidermy process.
Deposits are non- refundable.
We cannot be responsible for tanning process. Some skins do not take to the process.
Checks are accepted for deposits. Final payment at pickup is in the form of cash only. If final payment is paid by check, there is a 12 business day hold for it to clear before you can get your mount or it can be shipped.
Mounts not picked up or paid in full within 30 days of contact of completion will become property of Fish Scale Taxidermy.
Mounts shipped to you that are returned to us because of you missing the delivery of the package or refusal to sign for it and results in it being returned to us, it becomes property of Fish scale Taxidermy unless you pay for the shipping cost of the second attempt to ship the mount plus a $45 handling  fee. 
All prices are subject to change without notice.

Turnaround time is only an estimate on the time it will take to produce a Elite quality mount for you. It could go much farther past the 90 days or it may be sooner than the 90 days. Be prepaired for it.

Studio Standards
We offer standard skin mounts and reproductions mounts to full blown custom mount displays with artifical water to baitfish. Fish taxidermy is the most artistic area of the taxidermy field in my opinion. There are so many color variations due to water color, time of year, spawnning season, the list goes on and on. All of the color is applied with a airbrush, paint brush and many other applications. Some are protected trade secrets. We paint from photos, this will give you a true reprensitation of the fish you caught, especialy in the reproduction fish area.
We also produce a VERY highly detailed and quality shoulder mount. We spare no expence in matertials in forms, eyes, glues and tanning process. The people we had the oppertuinity to work for and with with in the fish taxidermy business, we got priceless experience working shoulder to shoulder with some of the top people in the taxidermy industry. We are up to date with the cutting edge of producing shoulder mounts. It's all about quality and shelf life of a shoulder mount. 
    We have a brand new production studio, built this year, with a seperate showroom. We run a clean and trophy friendly shop. Your finished mount is taken to the showroom to keep clean, and in perfect conidtion until pick up or shipped to you. Turnaround times vary from 90 days to 11 months, depending on the time of year and where you are in line of orders.


History
After my husband worked for one of the largest fish taxidermy studios in the nation for a number of years as a paint specialist while we had a small retail operating studio established in 1982 in G'ville. We mainly did wholesale work and tons of fish for guides, lodges, charter boats and corporate clients and taxidermist from all over the country and world. One day we figured "why not try to grow our small local retail studio and operate our own full-time retail studio?", so we did. We have been working full time in our local retail studio for over 21 years. We still did wholesale fish taxidermy for other taxidermist while doing work for the public.
We moved the studio in 1999 to the Waco area from G'ville to expand our reach of clients. some customers were driving many miles to get to us and with the studio move we were able to shorten the travel time to our studio for many customers.
A little about us. We are both from G'ville "Go Hornets!". Always been close to home and do not want to get any farther away than here, Waco. Well, there was graduating from TAMU, then masters from Baylor in education, but that's the farthest from home for us.
We were friends that turned into something special, then love and marrage and 2 kids (ages 17 and 16). Special thing to be married to your business partner.
